On October 18, 2014 we will hold the 3rd Buddy Up Against Bullying Virtual 5K. What is a Virtual 5K? It's rather simple actually. A virtual run offers runners the opportunity to participate "together" in a run without actually being in the same place. See...I told you it was simple.
If you're interested in supporting and participating in the Buddy Up Against Bullying Virtual 5K, just follow these steps: (1) download your Buddy Up Against Bullying Virtual 5K bib by clicking here; (2) print it out, and (3) on October 18, 2014, pin the bib to your shirt, grab a buddy, and go for a run. If you're already running a 5K that day, simply pin our bib to your back and off you go. Think of how you'll be spreading the Buddy Up message as you pass runner after runner. Not a runner? No worries. Go for a walk, a bike ride, or maybe a hike. Just remember to wear your bib as you do so.
Actually, we encourage you to print your bib out and start wearing it today on your runs, walks, bike rides, dog walks, hikes, or even on your trip to the grocery store. It will help draw much needed attention to our cause, while also helping to promote our October 18th run.
We'd love to hear from you too. If you'd like to share who you are, go to our "I'm A Buddy" page and give us your name (first name will suffice) and where you are from (ex: John D. - Cary, North Carolina).
Thank you for supporting Buddy Up Against Bullying. Enjoy your run! #BuddyUp5k
